I bought a small red one and had it monogrammed for my Grandma for Christmas. The small size is perfect for just a few things and the red color is very red, beautiful. The canvas is extremely sturdy and I can see it standing up to a lot. After receiving it I will be buying one (or a couple) for myself and for others as gifts. Everyone should have a monogrammed tote, right?
My husband got me the XL bag for my birthday about 7 years ago. At first I thought "what am I going to do with a bag this big?". But now that I have two kids it has been great to have this for our trips to the beach and pool. I can fit 4 large beach towels, all our various lotions, change of clothes for the kids and even some of their beach toys all in one bag. It does get a little heavy so if its a long walk to the beach my husband has to carry it, but I can manage to the pool. I may have to order another one with the zip top.
Just got a small for my mother as a purse and a medium (long straps) for myself for school.
We both LOVE our bags and they are perfect for what we bought them for, and then some!! I fit my large notebook, two binders and two college text books AND my laptop in the medium!!!
I do highly recommend getting the long straps, stays on your shoulder nicely for free hands!
I bought this bag to take camping, because the reviews said it was rugged & would last forever. I knew it would get dirty & just planned to wash it anyway, or at least hose it off.
We recently packed the XL one inside another suitcase so we'd have it to bring back souvenirs from our trip overseas. Since it zipped, & there was no problem checking it on the way back. But it was definitely dirty from the carousels & everything.
Even though other reviews said the colors might run, I put it through the washer & dryer (since it was for camping, I wasn't concerned with colors running. I'd rather it be tie-dyed than filthy).
It washed fine! We have the off-white bag with fern green straps & it washed perfectly fine - no colors running, no shrinking. I put it on cold water, gentle cycle & dried it on very low for about an hour.
I'm very happy to have such a tough, versatile bag.
