I purchased the XL Bag- it is huge in Regatta Blue with the long handles and zip top. I just took it on a weekend trip and it fit in the overhead bin of a small aircraft (2 seats each side) so it will fit in the bigger bins of a larger plane- those that have 3 seats each side. It will not fit under the seat very well. The bag is very sturdy and I didn't fill it all the way so it was easier to shove it in the bin. I did find with a hair dryer, high heels and some clothes and toiletries that it was heavy though. This is because the material of the bag is heavy to begin with however it stood up to my trip and I love it. It was 45 inches all the way around in total (smaller if you don't fill it because you can fold it in a bit) which is what the limit is for carry-ons and that will be a bonus when going on a longer trip and needing extra space. Considering the airline told me the price per checked bag is going up this summer I don't plan to check more than one bag a trip now! I plan to buy a medium one as well in the red for trips and other uses- maybe even to carry a laptop to and from work. If you get the right color it is also manly enough for a spouse to carry if need be as well. Bonus that you get free shipping now too! I like the longer handles so I can carry it on my shoulder if need be or attach it to the luggage bag. If you don't have a tote get one- no matter what size- you will love them.

I purchased one to use for paper goods and snacks for when my family goes away for long weekends or on vacation. It is alot better then packing plastic bags in the car. I got it in red to match our luggage.
I bought my first boat and tote in 1979 and several in the next few years. Every single car trip vacation I take I use them. They hold absolutely everything, nothing ever spills over, and when you arrive they fold flat. They also work great lining up sideways in the trunk. As a teacher I use them for lugging things back in forth to school, for transporting gifts during the holidays, and for those warehouse shopping trips. No one should be without a few of these!
