If you are looking for a truly quality bag, this is the one. I bought 3 of these for Christmas presents and everyone loved them. They are so well constructed and then you look inside to find a tag that says "Made in the USA" These are by far the finest bags I have ever purchased and well worth the price. I will be getting more of them.
Only the first of many, I'm sure. Bought this tote to carry my books in, and I have to say, I'm completely happy with it! My mom has always had a Boat and Tote, and I'm glad I could join in on the tradition. I ordered the Red, and although it was backordered until mid February, I have already received it! I ordered this tote in medium size to use for my everyday bag for teaching(ordered custom tote)... So excited when I saw the tote! The quality of construction is second to none, the embroidery is awesome, and I can't wait to show it off! I will be using this for many years to come! Well worth the money! BTW- medium is plenty big for those of you looking for a nice tote for day travel, and if you get zip top the bag holds even more! Thinking of who I can buy this for, I love it that much!

I purchased two boat and tote bags recently - one with a zip-top and one open top. I had each monogrammed and even with one holiday sandwiched in between the time that I ordered and received the items, it still arrived to me ON the second business day! It wasn't even a rush order. It took L.L.Bean no longer than ONE day to personalize and get my shipment out to me. AMAZING! The monogramming was accurate for both bags and with that kind of speedy service, I had to pick up the phone to let them know that I'm now a new L.L.Bean fan. Totally amazed how quickly I received my two new (AND personlized, mind you) tote bags!! Highly recommend!!
