Well made - stands up well as canvas is quite stiff. Handles (long) are great length for throwing over the shoulders.
But beware the sizing. I ordered the large for day to day going to work...and it's WAY too big for its intended use. I would be great for a day trip or weekend bag or to take to the farmer's market, but to take to work, it is really too large. I have now ordered a medium one and will keep the large for outings as mentioned above.
I have two of these XL bags and use them for everything. They are large enough to tote everything and great for taking to the pool, ski lodge or soccer games.
If you're a busy Mom using this as a purse, here are some tips: 1) Use Scotch Guard fabric spray (2 X) as soon as it arrives. It is a very durable bag, but the creamy color doesn't look great forever. It will spot clean better if you do this. 2) Consider dry cleaning if it does need a cleaning. If you throw it in the wash the canvas fabric will wrinkle. It is so stiff that it is very difficult to iron. 3) This bag is great, but contains no pockets for lipstick, etc. Consider carrying a tiny cosmetic bag inside. 4) All in all, a FANTASTIC bargain for the price. You cannot find a more durable bag for the money. If you are a busy Mommy with a mostly casual wardrobe you will not regret this purchase. At this price, I buy a new one each year and they are still a better value than any other bag out there.
