I got my OPEN TOP (not zip top) tote last night and eagerly put all my stuff in it. I bought the medium size with long handles, and it was just what I needed. Fits all normal purse items, plus my Bean lunch bag, 2 bottles of water, notebooks, and more. Stands up on it's own--great!! I bought the glen green color with the monogram and it is very springy/summery. The bag is overall very sturdy and durable. I can see why these last 30+ years. Great value for the price, especially when you have a Bean card with free shipping & monogramming! Will be using this as a baby bag probably as well.
bought my first bag a year ago and loved it. For christmas I bought one each for my four daughter, and they love them. Travelled to New Zealand earlier this year and had four shipped over for my neices, they loved them. the medium bag fits in everything i need for work and i take it everywhere with me. need to buy the extra large one now, so i can take even more stuff with me.
I just bought my third tote. The first has survived 5 years of groceries, carry-on, weekend trips and general abuse. The second gave me enough room to skip plastic shopping bags completely. The third is just for fun - because the small is so cute!
The zip-top version is the best because it can be folded up to create a little overflow room, or down and zipped for security.
I've just rewashed the one that I've had for over 30 years. With three children, it has been to beaches, pools, overnight stays, and done general hauling for as long as I've had it. It looks a bit worn, but the stitching is still intact. To say that it is a quality product is an understatement.
