I recently received my custom tote with zipper top,medium with long handles. The colors are beautiful. The pocket on the outside is a plus. Easy to slip receipts into while shopping. Just wished it had one on the inside. for keys or other small items that would otherwise fall to the bottom of the bag.
I bought my first boat-n-tote 5 years ago and it is still in phenomenal condition. I should have ordered it with the long handles, so now...I am ordering a new one with long handles. My daughter is already laying claim to the old one. Thanks for such a durable product.
I got my first Boat & Tote as a schoolbag in 1981...and I still have it at home. Its many successors over the years, in all sizes, from the mini, which is such a fun purse, to the extra large, which is my favorite weekend catch-all and grocery carrier. I can't get enough of them. Of all of LLBean's great products, the Boat & Tote is probably the best!

I ordered one for a Sunday School bag. I ordered another one for myself and it comes everywhere with me. I ordered the mini Halloween and Easter ones to use as a trick-or-treat bag and Easter basket.
My daughter ordered a design-it-yourself bag and loves it, though not quite as stiff.
I'm going to order a large or an extra large one. I have only bought the open tops, not the zip-tops. The free monograming for L.L.Bean visa holders is a huge plus!
