I bought the small bag & monogrammed it with my friends name as a Christmas gift. When it arrived, it was such a nice bag that I ordered another for my 11 month old as a diaper bag. It is perfect in every way! It fits everywhere & isn't cumbersome like so many diaper bags. My friend LOVED her gift & is using it as her carryall for her baseball coaching stuff. I am ordering another one just for me!! It's a tough, good looking bag that will last for years! I'm excited to get mine. Buy one!
I'm very active in different sports, especially in the summer. So I started getting these bags in different colors with the sport monogrammed on the bag. This way if I'm on my way to a certain activity I just grab the appropriate bag and know I have everything I need. Plus considering I have a tendency to leave the bags in my trunk, it keeps my trunk neat too.
I ordered four of the medium-sized bags in different bright colors to corral the clutter in our tiny living room, and I liked the effect so much that I just ordered another. I had them monogrammed (for free with our LLBean card) with the names of things in the living room that we need quick access to, but want to keep neat, such as "magazines," "newspapers," etc. I used the open top bags for items like magazines, and zip-top bags to keep my puppy from nibbling on my knitting projects. This approach worked out great. We have all of the bags lined up in a row against a wall and, with the bright colors and handsome monogramming, they really make a fun and very useful display. Now it's easy to keep things tidy because we just toss whatever is laying around into the appropriate bag when we're finished. They're fun, indestructible, and puppy-proof!
If it didn't seem so excessive, I'd get these in every color! I'm currently using a small and a medium, and they serve so many different purposes. Depending on how much stuff I'm lugging around, they've both been used as gym bags and school/work bags. The small is a great casual purse. The medium fits my 15" laptop with room for my folders, papers, wallet, etc. The medium is also a great carry-on bag. (I've used the large size as a carry-on, and found that while it was great for carrying a ton of stuff and fit fine under the seat, it was much larger than I needed and quite heavy to lug around the airport terminals). I'm expecting a baby soon, and I plan to use the both the small and medium as diaper bags (they both fit well in the tiny Maclaren stroller basket). I think the Pacific Blue and Sweet Pea bags that I'm using are feminine enough for my preferences but not so much so that it will be odd-looking with my baby boy. The long handles are great for me because, with an active little boy (and another on the way), I usually need both hands!
