I have a large and medium bag. Use both as carry-alls - the large during the winter and medium the rest of the year. Sturdy, resilient and the sizes are perfect for my needs. Bought one for my new daughter-in-law earlier this year with her new initials and it was a huge hit.Will continue to purchase monogrammed bags as gifts since they are so versatile and absolutely last forever.
I have purchased LL Bean Boat and Tote bags before, first for myself and then for gifts. The quality is fantastic along with the selection of colors and the monogram is such a special touch.Your friends will know you selected something just for them at a reasonable price for you.
I received the extra large tote for a wedding present from my brides maid. Although we registared for many thing (not this tote) this is my favorite gift! The only thing I would change is to pad the straps as you can put alot of stuff in this one and it can hurt to carry after a while.
Has thick handles...not something you'd want to lug around all day. Good for short trips where you are not carrying this item for long period of time.... the handles are kind of wide.
Otherwise, nice and roomy for a day bag--I use mine as a substitute teacher to hold pencil case, umbrella, book for reading at lunchtime, make-up case and scheduler.
