I loved the color and size. Room for lots of binders, supplies. Handle is very stiff and killed my shoulder. I ordered it with the longer handle so I could put over my shoulder when needed. I ended up returning it as I plan to use it quite frequently.
I have given multiple Boat and Tote bags as gifts, almost always monogramed. The small bag with a child's name makes a great first birthday or holiday gift. I got one for each of my own kids, and they're the perfect size for when they need to take along a few books or toys. I am sure they will last for many years.
This is the second Boat & Tote Bag I've ordered. Very impressed with the quality - can't imagine this ever wearing out! First time I ordered a medium with the longer handles and found it to be a little awkward for me to throw over my shoulder because the straps are so stiff when new. I ordered a new one with regular handles and like it much better. Will get good use of them both. Great tote for work - carrying planners, shoes, lunch, etc. I went with the monogram - adds a classy touch. Thank you LL Bean - quality I can depend on.
