I love the quality of the bag- but I purchased the large with the long handles- too large for carrying books and such. I use it to carry five beach towels for the family and I still have room for more. I'm ordering the med. for my books!
I love the bag, it's sturdy and comes in a variety colors. My only suggestion is to add pockets. I could use one or two for keys, phone, etc. Then the bag would be Perfect!
I have a mini I use as a purse or snack bag, the Med to carry my work supplies and a Large and X-Large for groceries, going out on the boat, road trips, etc. The long handle makes it easy to carry over-the shoulder and also to drape over the headrest in the car to easily access items inside.
I have a number of variations on your classic tote bags. I use them both for my dog supplies when we travel to dog shows, and to pack my clothes in as well. They hold a lot, in the large, and are light and easy to carry. I have the plaids from last year, and also various colors that are of different seasons...they get a lot of compliments- plus I love the monogram!
