I have one large tote with long handles, one medium zipper tote with long handles and one medium tote with regular handles. I am on here today to purchase another large tote.
I use my totes 3-5 times a week. I primarily use for grocery shopping. I live in California where plastic bags are now outlawed and brown bags are $.10 each. I am always receiving complements on these totes. Baggers love them because they stand and stay open on their own. They make carrying groceries so easy. I find the long handles especially convenient for shopping and carrying more than one bag at a time. I purchased my first one over three years ago and it barely shows any wear. These totes are extremely sturdy and durable. I would highly recommend. They are a great value!
Just sent out an email to L.L. Bean letting them know I will be returning this item. I ordered the large and what I received was an utter shock. The width of the tote's base was a good 2-3" longer than what was listed and the longest part of the bag measured over 24"! I'm a plus sized girl and the tote still looked ridiculous on me. The tote looks like its well made but there is absolutely no reason to order above the size medium. The sizing on the website is inaccurate. Make sure you research others experiences with the sizing before ordering. I wish I had.
These are wonderful. I use them for grocery shopping but also going to other retail stores instead of using their small plastic bags. I own at least 6 in different sizes and shapes. They are very heavy duty and will carry much more weight than I can even lift.
It never fails: when I go to a grocery store the clerk always asks me where I got the bag; they see lots of bags and they are always impressed with mine from L.L. Bean.
