We're taking our rabbit on a trip to Miami on 29th of January. I needed a big bag to put his stuff in and the XL boat and tote is the perfect bag for it. I ordered my monogrammed tote on the 21st, January, and the estimated time of delivery is the 29th, the same day we leave for Miami. So i called up customer service about my dilemma. She offered to have the tote expedited for an additional fee, $17 if i'm not mistaken. I declined to pay the additional fee and thought i'll just have to use it on another trip. Then the next day, we received an email saying the tote has been shipped and will be delivered on the 27th....I received my boat and tote today and i can't believe how nice and sturdy it looks. I went to the grocery store today and used my tote as a grocery bag. It was so much easier to carry my grocery home. Thank you so much to the customer service operator who assisted me (Diane, i think) with my purchase and made sure my tote got to me early. Excellent product and outstanding customer service. This is a good start to my new boat and tote collection. Kudos to all LL Bean employees! :)
The bag arrived in a blink of an eye and looks much better than I expected. To say it's sturdy and can take 500 lbs. heavy use is an understatement. I decided to get the biggest size available along with long handles for shopping reasons since I shop at warehouses where they don't provide shopping bags. I can load this big boy to the rim and zip it should it be raining and I'm good to go. The long handles make it easier to carry from the shoulder when it's packed, I'd say it's extra thick, sturdy and big enough to carry a young hobbit LOL. I'll be getting a smaller one in the near future for lighter shopping in the neighborhood. These also make great gifts and do get it monogramed it says something special.
I have three of these totes (large, medium and large zip top) which were given to me for Christmas waaaay back in the early 1970's, if not earlier. These totes are HEAVY DUTY and tough as nails! If it weren't for one stain on the bottom of the large tote it would look brand new.
I keep the large one in my car to carry groceries. I've used these on sailboats, motorboats, at the beach, by the pool, shopping, traveling, picnics, back and forth to college for four years, moving, lugging goodies to work, etc. I adore this wonderful product!
I have 4 children and each has an XL monogrammed bag for their bedroom toys.
For whatever reason I am now unable to order any colour for the XL other than bland adult shades of red, blue, black and dark green.
Whatever happened to being able to order the bright pink? Or the dahlia purple? Or the turquoise???? SOOOOO frustrating. I guess my 4th will have to go without a tote.
The large isn't large enough and the XL is perfect. Please bring back the ability to order ALL the colours for ALL the sizes!!!!!!!!
