I have a family of 5 and I needed a bag that was large enough to carry all our stuff, sturdy enough to hold up well (we're a rough bunch), and with long handles so that DH could lug it on his shoulder. We found all those attributes in the X-Large Boat & Tote! How big is the X-Large, my 6 year old loves to get inside this bag and pretend it's a boat...that's how big this bag is!
We use it to carry all our gear where ever we go instead of having multiple smaller bags. However, I did just order a medium ziptop & a small open top to have for when we actually have less stuff to carry and the X-Large is just too big ;-)
These really are the BEST bags EVER... We have three!!!!! We have had two for years and I just bought another one.... for another child.... We love them - we use them for EVERYTHING!!!! The older bags still look perfect!!!! Thank you LL Bean for a wonderful product!!!!
Wow, this bag is wonderful! It is so roomy and I love that I can carry bottled water, brown bag lunch, and my purse accessories, so it has a dual purpose when I'm out and about. It is very well constructed, very sturdy and just the right size. I may not ever carry a purse again!!!
I ordered this tote for a grocery bag and it fits the bill perfectly! Sturdy, carries a lot, stands up on its own, I will definitely order more for the same purpose.
