These things are great looking and indestructible. I got my first tote back in the 80s. It's was my high school bookbag, then college bookbag. It saw hard duty in the field schlepping tools and notes when I was an archaeologist. It's been up and down mountains, camping in deserts, hiking in forests, and sailing on the ocean. And it's still going strong. Indestructible, I tell you! I recently got a spiffy new one for grocery shopping. It's pretty much my go-to bag for everything. The medium size with regular handles is ample, comfortable, and convenient. Just right for a laptop+. Also, I was gifted a mini zip-top tote with cool stripes. I don't find the zip-top all that useful, personally, but it makes a cheery little casual summer handbag. I've received many comments on it.
I ride a scooter a lot, so I ordered a medium with red trim to match the bike and had bike make embossed on both sides and it hangs from the mirrors between my legs. It holds my riding accessories: gloves, hats, bike locks, and room for more when needed. The zippered closure keeps things secure.
Because I do most of the shopping (YES, I am married to a woman that hates to shop!), I have two (XL with zippers) that I purchased to haul groceries in. I can attach them to the sides of the bike and they work like saddlebags. I have always had enough room for everything, plus room to spare. I always get comments when I am loading up for the ride home. So, when it is time to head out again, I grab the two bags, the list off the frig door, and my cell phone to make sure I always make the right choices, and I'm off again. From the looks of things, the scooter will wear out before the bags do.
