I requested (and received) the extra large tote with long handles and zip top for Christmas. It is rugged and sharp looking and is all that i expected and more! I am using it for a weekend travel bag and can get enough in it for 2 people and my dogs' stuff like food, leashes, toys, etc. with room to spare !I am getting ready to order the large tote with open top to use as a boat bag. 5 star review!
I bought 3 of these bags and I love them all. They're very sturdy and stand up on their own. I also bought the Boat and Tote liner to make my tote bags into coolers. The monogramming is beautiful and a must. The large is a good size for groceries, a weekend bag, or a beach bag. The medium is a good size for carrying to work or school or a large purse. I'm planning to get a small size for a medium sized purse.
I bought all my totes in the long handles because I like shoulder bags. It doesn't fit my husband's shoulder too well, especially when loaded with groceries, but I don't a problem. The handles are pretty stiff and slide off my shoulders, but I think that's more my fault than the bag.
I would like to see a inside pocket in the future.
I have the mini rugby bote and tote too and I like that it has a key chain sew inside so I don't have to look for my keys.
I bought this bag a year ago.. I have yet to find anything wrong with it. I just LOVE it. We are a military family and I bought it for a move we were making. It worked GREAT it held everything and then some. I'm looking forward to using it again on our next move in May!!!!
I bought this among other things for my daughter's birthday. She called today to tell me she had her prized tote with her and thanked me for it. She said she never saw such good quality and craftsmanship. It got me to thinking: I need a tote. Top quality. Yea LL Bean.
