I have enjoyed my large tote for a long time so I have now purchased the small tote. The size is just right, it is sturdy, and the color and monogram give it a pleasing appearance. It is great for carrying a few books for meetings or sewing supplies to work session. On car trips I use it to carry the things that I want to keep close at hand.
I have several canvas totes from L.L. Bean and love them all. I ordered the small one with long handles. The only thing I wish it had is a pocket on the outside where the monogram is.
I gave these bags to my bridesmaids as part of their gift and they LOVED them!!! Very high quality! You cannot go wrong with these. The small tote with the long handles is easy to carry but fits ton of stuff! Go for the monogram and you have a winner!!
The Boat and Tote Bag, Zip-Top, is great! I bought a medium with regular handles. I travel a lot with my dog, and keep all his leashes/food/toys/etc. in the bag. It's heavy duty and can handle all the tossing around it gets. The only problem is the handles are too short to sling comfortably over my shoulder. If you'll be carrying a lot of stuff, I'd recommend the long handles.
