I bought the large open top tote in navy about 16 years ago and have used it all the time. The construction is top quality and still has that new look to it even though it has been put to use for many, many miles. I liked it so much that I bought my best friends the tote bag in the same size and style but in different colors and mongrammed. When we were loading our totes in the back of the SUV for our annual girlfriend weekend, I discovered that the regular handle on the new totes was longer than the regular handle on my old tote. The new handle length was enough to get me to order another tote for myself. Thanks for a great product that can withstand the ages very nicely. All of us are very satisfied with our tote bags. When the large size is filled to capacity, it is very manageable to tote around!
My husband and I bought the large tote on a trip to Freeport, ME 17 years ago. It's gone to the beach, pool, picnics . . . The bottom corner has a small hole (on the outer material), but it is still usable. People still ask where I got it. It's still looks new and I use it all the time. I vacuum it to remove dirt and sand. Whenever I'm going somewhere and have multiple things to carry I just pop everything in there. It's great to keep in the back of the car. I've given the totes as gifts and filled them. It makes a wonderful present that's used over and over.
I am impressed with the quality of this tote. It is very sturdy and roomy. I purchased the medium size, and it will hold pretty much everything that I need for studying. I appreciate that it was made in the U.S.A. (Maine).
The large bag holds everything for the beach or picnic, the medium is a good size for a shoulder bag or a small trip to the library. I have not yet found a good use for the small or mini bag although they're very cute. The canvas is sturdy to the point of being rigid and there I complain it's a bit too muscular for a shoulder bag - I'd like something a bit softer. I like the long handled option, and the color range is very good!
