I (and many others) have used the medium tote for > 20 years as my work "briefcase." Great for carrying everything form papers, files, laptop, thermos, to medical equipment. Old ones would get reycled to the car, garage, garden, market, etc. Recent version, however is of lighter, less sturdy canvas and no longer stands up up well on its own......now when I set it down I have to find something to prop it up against so it doesn't fall over. Also the handle is slightly longer, not a comfortable as the old version. Still my favorite "briefcase" but not a good quality as previously.

I just got the extra-large size to use as a family beach bag. All our towels, bathing buits, sunscreen and books fit into it. I keep it loaded and ready to go in the closet, and a trip to the beach is nothing more than grabbing the tote and a cooler with snacks and go. Love it!
