The medium-sized. long-handled tote is perfect for daycare and days at Grandma's. It's a perfect bag for toddlers: strong enough to carry extra clothes, toys, blankie, and a whole pack of diapers. I wish it had an outside pocket though for the juice cup.
Last Christmas, I ordered large boat & tote bags for my mom, my sister, and myself (of course!) and had each of our last names monogrammed on the totes. I placed each family's Christmas gifts in the boat & tote bags and presented the tote as a gift as well. My sister carries her boys' sports gear & snacks in the tote to ball practice, I keep mine in my car trunk to hold/carry unexpected purchases, supplies, etc, and my mom carries EVERYthing in her tote. Very handy & sturdy bags! Be sure to order the long handles so you can easily carry it over your shoulder if necessary!
Love the bags, however be sure if you order the X-Large bag you are looking for something that is huge. It was bigger than expected. But the quality is excellent. The medium bag is perfect for all the time use or as a gift, i have now purchased 3 as gifts and one for my self.
I debated between the large and medium and was glad that I ordered the large. This will be perfect for our camping trips! It will last orever! Durability plus!!
