I love my medium boat and tote bag with zip top. It is the perfect size for gathering all my stuff and my daughters too. It is small enough not to be a hassle to carry but large enough for everything I need. I also prefer the longer handles. I liked mine so much I bought one for a friend!
I have been purchasing Boat and Tote Bags from LL Bean for years. The first one I purchased was for myself. I love the fact that it can be monogrammed, making it easy for me to "personalize" it for the recipient. The extra large Boat and Tote is excellent for so many things. Especially using it with the extra long handles. I keep it in our spare room and put things in it, when I think of them, when I'm going to travel. When I start to pack, I have many things I would probably forget if I had not put them in my Bean Bag!
