Beware, this is a very large tote to be called "small" in the catalog. Completely opened, it is much larger than I wanted or expected. I bought it for my 3-year old grand-daughter to use at the lake house and it is half her size! But, it is very well made and would be perfect for a teenager or up.
I have a medium size that I use as a purse when traveling around - great on an airplane. The biggest bag is great for the beach and the zip top keeps the sand out. Any L.L Bean bag with long handles and the zip top is a great accessory for any activity. The price is great so I have different colors for different activities -- yellow = boating, blue = tennis, and pink= everyday.
This is simply the best tote bag, which explains why it has been around for so long. I have four in various sizes, and they just can't be beat. They're extremely durable and can hold heavy loads. I'm able to fit all of my family's towels and other items we haul to the pool in it easily and the long handles make it so easy to throw over my shoulder. I couldn't live without them!
As a family we own 4 of these bags. They are the best bags every. Good for sleep-overs, beach, pool, shopping, weekend away. You will not find a better value or better made bag anywhere.
