In a recent move from Texas to Washington I packed these bags for my kids and dogs for easy traveling/overnight stays in hotels. They're tough, durable, and work great. I was able to stay organized with the great size, and the personalization so I knew what-was-what. LL Bean products are always fabulous for my pet and kid-friendly family. I will also mention that as a child my mother had an LL Bean boat-and-tote as a diaper bag and she's still using it today for other purposes more than 30 years later.
I LOVE these bags. They are so well made that we have had ours for years. Now we buy them as presents for our family members and friends and we have their names embroidered on them. It's funny, now at our family gatherings you will see all these L.L. Bean bags lined up! We use our bags all the time. Thanks L.L. Bean for making such a great product!
The extra large bag can easily hold beach towels for a family of four and still have enough room for snacks and a change of clothes. The only thing missing is a small internal pocket so dropping keys in can lead to a major search considering the size. I can even throw a tired 3 year old kid in for a ride to the car.
This is probably the fourth boat & tote I have purchased. I have a few different sizes and colors. I LOVE this bag. It is very durable and serves many functions in our family, including a beach bag, travel bag, weekend bag and I couldn't live without it. I would recommend this bag to anyone who wants a very durable, multi-functional bag.
