I just took this bag out of the package and it is perfect! I am headed off to college and plan to use this as my laundry bag. The canvas is beautiful and high quality- as always (thanks L.L. Bean!). The only thing that I would have to criticize about it is I got the light green canvas handles but my monogram was a dark green. It works but was not exactly what I was expecting. However overall, it's just what I need and I love it.
I love this tote. I use it as a book bag, shopping bag and carry all. I like that fact that it's so sturdy and easy to wash. I never worry about it getting torn or frayed. I see myself using this tote for years to come.
These totes are just "ok". What I mean by that is...compared to the competitor's tote, the canvas is not as thick and sturdy. In addition, the competitor offers an inside pocket and key fob which LLBean does not. If LLBean added these features, their tote would be much better. Also, it would be a great idea to offer a long-handle version without having to order a custom tote.
I got the Medium Tote w. Regular Handles in Jadeite and the Large Tote w. Regular Handles in Ember.
Jadeite is an awesome vivid sea green that I'm in love with. Ember is an awesome rich bright coral that I also love.
Regular Handles on both sizes are able to fit over the shoulder for me.
Sturdy, stiff canvas looks neat and crisp. Which makes it great for heavy stuff. The body gives it balance so toting around gallons of stuff still feels amazingly comfortable.
Great for around town on foot. I live in NYC and love it for summer around town. Shopping, errands, trip to the park, day trip, etc. I can carry notebooks, laptops, random junk, even toss in a few things I buy along the way.
I bought the Large Tote for my new puppy! I use it to carry her around. :) And the Medium Tote for myself. :)
I was a first time ll bean boat and tote customer. And I'm a total convert. Back buying a couple more different sizes to try. Great as gifts.
