I purchased this tote as my work bag. As a RN, I always have books, lunch, etc that I'm taking with me. Other bags I've tried were slouchy and difficult to locate items. This is so well made and most of all, made in the USA! Also, if one believes customer service is dead in the US, has never done business with LL Bean. I made a mistake on the size I wanted and the customer service department was wonderful in making the bag I wanted. The mistake was corrected with no hassle. I'm very proud to take this tote with me.
This is my second extra-large tote. I love the long-handled zippered style. It's perfect for the beach or picnics because I can pack everything we need in one bag. My only issue with my new bag is that L L Bean has removed the inside tab and hook that used to be there for keys. It was so handy, especially with a bag this large. I loved knowing I wouldn't have to hunt around in the bottom of the bag to find my keys. I'd like to suggest that this feature be brought back in subsequent styles. Otherwise, it's sturdy and wonderful and I look forward to using it for many years.
I got the medium with long handles in red with a single initial monogram and it is just perfect. The size is very practical and the long handles make it easy to carry. I highly recommend this product and the monogramming makes it extra special!
I purchased my first boat and tote around Christmas. I began using it right away and have used it everyday since! It is a medium with the zip top. I use it to bring my stuff to and from work everyday. I find it to be the perfect size for that. It's a heavy duty, quality bag! I love that it is made in the USA!! Since ordering and using this tote, I have ordered my mom a medium zip top and myself a small zip top and a couple minis that were anniversary editions. The minis are quite small, but I have found a use for them too! I have taken them to our local farmers market and used to carry my produce purchases and also as a quick bag to grab and throw in sunscreen or other small things needed for a quick day trip to the park with the kids. I am sure I can find a use for all sizes and hope to add large and extra large to my collection in the future!! I also plan to buy more for Christmas gifts this year! Love them!
