I ordered my first Custom tote recently. since i knew the quality of LLB boat&tote, i had no concern prior to ordering. custom version was fun experience. I got the handles and the gusset in Jadeite and the rest of the bag and the pocket in snapdragon. it turned out very attractive color combo. it's so cute. i recommend it. i decided to get long handles. it was a good idea because gusset extends upward when full. then there is still room to sling over my shoulders. the demention wise, it indicates 12hx13w, but the one i received was 12wx13h. i like it that way. i am not sure if the pocket was the reason why it made difference. i have a regular med tote and i measures as the description states,12hx13w. i thought it may be even funner if there was an optional personalization such as four leaf clover or just a little something besides letters.
Ok folks... here we go. As an ABA therapist providing home-based services, I frequently find myself toting in large bags of toys to reward kiddos for completing their work. The toys I typically have to carry in for a single session can easily fill a large re-usable shopping bag and are always heavy/bulky (e.g., board games, blocks, notebooks, markers/crayons, race tracks, etc.) As such, I found myself breaking the larger re-usable shopping bags at a rate of about 3 per month. I found myself in desperate need of a bag with 1)long handles, 2)zipper top, 3) front pocket, 4) large enough to carry all the aforementioned toys, and 5) made of durable materials. Hence, a custom extra large boat-tote with an outside packet and zipper. This bag is VERY large and holds ALL of the toys, notebooks, and session materials I need. The bag is very sturdy and provides an easy means of transport for home to car sessions due to the large handles (i.e., I can carry the bag on my shoulder). Add a little flair with my initials and I have the bag I have been searching for..... for approx. 2 years. Love it. Love the quality. THANK YOU LL BEAN. You have no idea how easy you have made my life by affording the option of custom totes. Please keep that as an option.
I got this over the summer as a carry-on for a trip to Florida, since then this tote has helped me move to a new state for grad student and has come with me back and forth between Virginia and home. It has held everything from various odds and ends to my laptop and still looks new. I like that it has a zipper and I predict that this will be a great companion no matter where I go.
I have many LL Bean totes, but I really like the new Snapdragon color for the girls in our family. It's a great color but will not show the dirt as easily as some of the former light pinks. With the "eggplant" personalization, I know that this will be a big hit with my daughter!
