As a mom of 4 children 10 and under I am always carting many backpacks/totes here and there, so thought I'd cut down on the baggage and buy ll beans extra large tote, I couldn't be happier, it's HUGE, my 5 year old and a friend can both fit inside it, yes they tried it!!! I can now fit 4 towels, 4 bathing suits, 4 changes of clothes, suncream and much more all inside one bag, I LOVE it!

I have several of the tote bags and love them all. The small I use as a purse for everyday use. The medium holds my laptop. The only thing they lack is POCKETS (inside & out) which would would then make them perfect!!!
Last year I was considering purchasing this bag, but for some silly reason could not decided whether I really needed it or not. I finally purchased the large bag, open top with short handles. We went to VT last week and it was stuffed with dog supplies, hiking boots, extra sweater, etc. This is my FAVORITE new bag - - perfect in every way. I can't wait to purchase my next one (maybe zip-top with monogramming :)!
I bought the biggest boat and tote bag they make and got the long handles. We use it as a beach bag for our family of 5 and it's perfect! We can fit all the towels, goggles, sunscreen, etc...I do with there were some inside pockets but I zip all my sunscreen and smaller things into a little pouch and throw it in so it works. The best thing about it is that it stands upright when I sit it down and all the kids can bend over and get their goggles out. It's so sturdy that I don't worry about it getting wet or ripped when they pull it around on the concrete to get their things out.
