I bought one of these to give as a diaper bag. The mongramming really stands out. 2 things you should be aware of when ordering....every year they change the colors that they offer for the straps- so a color that I chose for someone last year is now no longer available so I was unable to add a bag in a different size to their collection. I was disapointed because I wanted their collection to match- but now that is not possible. The second thing you should be aware of is that the canvas can arrive with a STRONG smell. This has happened with over half of the boat and tote bags. Some arrived and had almost no smell and others arrived and smelled soo badly they had to be returned because even after airing them out for weeks the smell remained- others that were just slightly smelly aired out in a month and were able to then be gifted. I talked to customer service about this multiple times and they said that sometimes this happens- it is a HEAVY duty canvas that is made to hold up to a lifetime of a abuse so sometimes it has a slight smell when it is brand new. With this being said- it has not stopped me from ordering boat and tote bags repeatedly because everyone LOVES them. They stand up on their own because of the stiff canvas. They can carry heavy items and you do not have to worry about the bag breaking. And the best part of all is that they look great. Clean, crisp, and classy. The monogramming is really what makes this bag pop. The zipper top on this bag is really awesome because you don't have to worry about people swiping stuff from your bag when you are in a crowd or things falling out in the car. I highly recommend this as a diaper bag.
I just purchase 2 xlarge bags, one for me and one for my MOH for my destination wedding. Each was embroidered with our initial. I received them yesterday and was so excited. Not only did they build me 2 custom bags and embroidered them but, I received them in just 3 days! The size is PERFECT for all of the last minute incidentals. I would definitely recommend this item to anyone looking for an awesome bag that is well made & made in the USA.

I've bought two of these bags in the last six months (both size large). The first was a Christmas gift for that person who has everything, custom colored in black with red trim for their daughters' school colors. I was so impressed with the quality that I used my $10 reward towards a standard canvas one for myself. Now I don't know how I ever lived without it. We use it for all kinds of random things, and I recently used it as my carry-on luggage on a trip to Vegas (measures within most airline dimensions perfectly). It packed more than my husband's carry-on suitcase of the same size no problem. And I'd never worry about it being ripped, because the fabric is so tough. What a great buy!
My aunt has had her Boat and Tote for years, and it has lasted and really held up over all of its uses. It was finally time for me to purchase one, as I was wanting a multi-purpose bag, one i could take to the beach, while also using it for a weekend trip. I love this bag. I recommend the monogramming - as it adds that something extra to the look.
