I liked them so much, I ended up ordering another for myself!
I purchased for my bridesmaids and I was ever more excited when I received than when I ordered. Perfection. I ordered the medium tote with regular handles with each Bridesmaid's first initial. I might even give them early since I know they will get so much use out of them this summer. Highly recommend as a great, quintessential Maine, gift.
I excitedly ordered the large boat and tote in Waterlilly Pink with a monogram after reading a ton of excellent reviews. I figured if over 800 people loved this bag, i would too! It finally arrived last friday and it is beautiful! It is so sturdy and there have to be a 1000 different uses for this bag. I am in nursing school and I have to lug countless textbooks, planners, notebooks, as well as stethoscopes, BP cuffs, etc. wherever I go. I thought this oversized tote would be perfect. This bag is HUGE!! And to think I almost ordered the X-Large!! :) I put three text books, a notebook, a planner, writing utensils, my huge waterbottle, and anything else I could possible need for the day and it BARELY covered the bottom of the tote. NO JOKE! It is actually too big! I am definitely keeping the bag (it is gorgeous) and using it as an overnight bag, and im going to reorder one in medium for school. The tote is so large for my needs that it was rather comical. One of my classmates noted that SHE could fit in my bag! (LOL) This would be the perfect size for a weekender bag, but it you are thinking this is just a nomal, oversized tote, consider getting the medium.
I ordered this to pack dog "stuff" in when we go out because the dog typically requires more stuff than I do! I have a similar bag from a competitor for me that I much prefer--this one is very stiff (I know it will loosen up, but I've had it 6 mo already), it has no interior pockets and some of the stitching is coming loose already. Next time I'm just going to order the competitor's bag.
