I find these totes a bit too stiff to carry around. However, this is a fantastic bag for storing supplies in the cargo area of a car - jumper cables, maps, first aid kit, etc. It is solid enough to not slide around or fall over. The height of the Large fits perfectly under the cargo privacy cover. The tote doesn't take up much space at all - I still have plenty of room for luggage or groceries back there. I tend to be a bit of a prepper and carry a lot of stuff. In fact, I just ordered a second one to hold winter gear and they fit perfectly side-by-side behind my back seat. I think the minimalists out there, or people whose cars have built-in cubbies, could use the Medium. I know some customers complain about the lack of pockets, but I don't think that is a problem. I like to use packing cubes and pouches to organize stuff inside a tote. I'm really glad I found this tote and I'm happy with my solution for the stuff I need to keep in the car.
I have purchased many of these bags, big & small, with & without zippers, long & short handles, monogrammed some, even ordered custom colors.. For toting stuff around they are the best. When not toting, I use them for storage. Great for gifts, too.
This is a really sturdy bag that is great for keeping in the car and using at stores for my purchases instead of the plastic bags. It is sturdy, attractive and just the right size for stopping off to pick up just a few items. I purchased the Regatta blue in medium and use it constantly; the color is as pictured and pretty. Definitely a product of LL Bean quality.
This tote is so cute. I got it for storing certain items . It is so nice that I hate to put it away. But it is just what I needed. Very well made and will not wear out . I like the zip top. Ordered the medium with regular handles. Love the Peony Pink.
