I purchased the largest size with long straps--and I use it to haul everything. Gear for a trip, presents at Christmas, reorganizing the house, etc. I have had a load of books--and it didn't even wince at the weight. Bought this years ago and it still looks great. A great product!

(I'm reviewing the open top. Even when I click to review the open top, the title above says zip-top. Just so you know...) I received my medium, long-handle tote today, and I'm thrilled, which is no surprise. I had a Boat & Tote years ago, but it was lost during one of several moves. I had this one monogrammed, and the monogram is perfect. I also purchased a competitor's tote a few years back and ended up sending it to Goodwill. It became floppy and flimsy and didn't stand up to daily use. If you're deciding whether to buy one of these LL Bean totes, watch the video and see how they're made in Maine by people who care. Made in America, affordable and top quality. Wish more companies could do the same.
I received the large zipper top bag (red) as a christmas gift. I love it. It is quality material. It seems larger than I thought it would be but that works fine for me. It is monogramed in red and it looks great. I plan to use it as camping luggage/food carrier and beach bag. I have been on LL Bean several times to order more...I want them all!! I think I'll go ahead and order the medium today.
