I ordered one of these bags a few years ago with sage green trim and I absolutely love it. It's held up really well and I love the color. ...I would love to order more in the same color, but the sage green seems to have been discontinued! I'm very disappointed in that - please bring back the sage green color!!
My dad had these LL Bean totes for his boat when I was growing up. I now bought my own large open-top tote and I can't believe I waited so long to buy one. I am a teacher and bought myself the large tote with the long handles. I bring it to my classroom and home each and every day. It fits my purse, lunch, water bottle, thermos, papers to be graded, markers, a coat, and more. It's almost too roomy. I put another small bag inside it to keep the papers from getting crumpled and that works well. I was tired of being the "bag lady" and carrying all of my belongings separately. Now, this bag stores everything easily and comfortably. I am 5'8" and the long handles are perfect. I monogrammed it with a single letter and that came out fantastic, too. I plan on buying these as Christmas gifts this year.

I can fit everything from a bunch of books to my maltipoo to a weekend of clothes to stuff for the beach. It is an indispensable bag and the monogram makes it look classy. It is simply a classic.
When I first saw the large size with normal handles in its plastic bag, I thought it looked too long for its height. But after opening it up, it seemed fine. This is a gift so I hope it's as indispensable as people say. The canvas is definitely thick and strong.
