I ordered this tote as a work bag. I ordered the size medium zip-top tote, and it is true to the sizing on the site. The "Deep Mulberry" is a beautiful, rich purple color -- my favorite! The zip-top aspect of the tote folds inward perfectly, so it may function as the original boat and tote bag without any fabric getting in the way.
I had my tote monogrammed in Script, and I do wish the monogramming was larger as it looks a little small in comparison to the size of the bag. I also wish the bottom, colored portion of the bag carried up the sides of the tote higher.
My only issues with this boat and tote are completely aesthetic; it is a gorgeous bag, looks and feels very sturdy, and will definitely be getting a lot of use!
I purchased this for my daughter who is a nursery school teacher. She needed a large tote for carrying a multitude of papers and supplies to and from school. This bag has proven to be roomy enough and sturdy enough to handle the job. It is so well made ( material, stitching and seams) that we expect it to be around for a long time! A clear bonus is that in the summer, it can double as a roomy beach tote -large enough for a large towel, suntan lotion ,bug spray, a medium-sized insulated bag for lunch with a cold drink, a hat and a book or reading device. I just bought this bag as a gift for my mom. I ordered it on 10/6 and it arrived, custom monogrammed on 10/8:) It is a small open-top bag and the size is awesome! I love the look of this bag, and I know how durable they are, as I have one of my own and have been using it for years. Can't wait to give it to her!
