This is an awesome bag but the size was not accurate at all. I ordered the large size as I wanted a bag to carry books and magazines in while travelling. Instead of being 17" wide the bag is actually 24" wide and big enough to use as an overnight bag! I don't want to deal with the hassle of returning it, so I will just keep it. I can't even give it away as a gift as I had it personalized.
I think these totes are so great. You can use them forever because they are so durable. I can throw just about anything and everything in these totes and just go. These bags are fantastic. Throw and go.
When I received the small tote I thought a mistake had been made. After checking the measurements, I realized it was I who was at fault. The 5 inch width gives the length an extra 5 inches at the top when caring it, making it appear much larger. I was going to live with it since it was monogrammed but was definitely not happy. Then I read that I could return it. I ordered 2 mini totes, a color burst and a madras print with a matching wallet. Picture 2 shows the size next to a set of keys. This is the size I wanted.
