the bag is all it says it is and more....can't say enough good things about it. word of advice though i ordered the large for school and it is huge! going to use it for the car instead and order a smaller size for school, really happy with purchase.
I ordered this bag in large thinking it would be great to take with me on the plane when I travel, to the beach, etc. I received the bag and could tell immediately that the bag was of a very high quality and would last many years, however, it was ENORMOUS! And to think I almost ordered the extra large! There was no way I was going to get on a plane with that bag as my "personal item." I was a little worried since it had been monogrammed that I could not return it, but that was not the case. I did a live chat with a LL Bean representative who informed me that it could be exchanged for a smaller bag, so I am now getting the medim. I highly recommend these bags but advise you to order one bag smaller than you think you really need! Once I can attest to the durability of the bag, I will write a new review.
I own three extra large totes. I use two as hampers. They are great carrying laundry up and down the stairs. I also use one for groceries. My grocery tote also goes to the beach which holds kick boards, towels etc for the entire family.
I bought this for my girlfriend who is telling me what to say in this review...just wanted to make that clear! :) " Once you get this thing broken in, it's really much easier to use and carry. It seems hard and uncomfortable against skin at first, but give it some time and it will soften up. Also, the zipper is a must! I really like it better than my high dollar purses. It's a keep and looks great with the monogramming."
