I agree with the review by xjulietx from Central Islip, NY about durability. The shirts gets worn down where ever the shirt rubs against another fabric very quickly. It is particularly bad around the cuffs and the neck. But it's a nice shirt. I tried to find another one like at other mail order sites and the local mall. None match this shirt for good looks, tailoring and in the end, I just put up with the durability and bought three more, which I suppose is what they planned I'd do.
I have to say I have been buying these shirts for my husband for the past five years and while he loves the wash and wear aspect, the fit, and the color, we both are getting frustrated with the wear and tear on the cuffs, collar and placket. These areas become threadbare and I have sent back more shirts than I care to admit. LLBean has always stood behind their product, but I will admit I am disappointed because my husband really likes them. I hope they will research and find a way to improve the quality soon.
Absolutely without question, the best Oxford you can buy (not to mention for the money).
Wrinkle-proof: Just take it out of the dryer, put it on a hanger and it's ready to do battle.
Stain-proof: I was travelling to a wedding and the cheap iron leaked a puddle of brown stained water on it ... I thought I was ruined, but no problem, I washed it and it was as good as new.
Goof-proof: I don't usually wear nice clothes, but this looks great in a suit or with jeans ... very professional.
Nice shirt and nice pattern. I've had it about a month and worn it a few times. I'm sure I'll get a lot of use out of it at work and it will last a long time.
