These shirts are absolutely timeless and are appropriate with a suit or with khakis or jeans. The oxford cloth is heavy and stays neat throughout the day. The price is well worth it -- way better quality than comparable department store shirts and clearly a better economic decision than the designer logo stuff. All in all, the most overall satisfying apparel in my closet over the last 15 years or so has had an L.L. Bean label.
I purchased this shirt for my future son-in-law who hates to iron. He loves it and it looked very, very nice on him. I would purchase another one of these shirts for him on his birthday.
I have worn LL Bean's Oxford cloth shirts for at least 30 years. They are excellently tailored, bear up under repeated commercial laundry, and always look good, whether for day or evening wear.
