I have several of these Oxford cloth shirts from L.L.Bean. They are beautiful and very well constructed. I'm sure that they will last and last. I appreciate the company's policy of free shipping with no minimum, and customer service is excellent.
Hello, I work in an office but frequently have to go out in the field. I wear neckties, enjoy a nice clean shirt. I Purchased this shirt as a Christmas present to myself. I am very impressed. It fits perfectly, I MEAN PERFECTLY. The material is high quality cotton. It feels great, and looks very sharp. The stitching is nice and the yoke lays very nicely across my shoulders. I have laundered it a couple of times at home, and so far - EXCELLENT. I am very pleased. I just purchased another one.
I ordered both the light & French blue colors as replacements for my older one's which finally were discarded after years of wear. These shirts appear to be of a very similar material and fit the same, although the wrinkle resistant coating makes the material feel somewhat stiffer to the touch. I'm still happy with them.
As far is the color is concerned, the light blue is the same color as in years past but the French blue is (to my fading eyes) just a slightly different shade of light blue. But I can always use good light blue shirts!
I bought these shirts (5 of them) since the reviews were so good a little over a year ago. I usually wear them with jeans to work and I have to say that they have been washed 40-50 times each. The colors remain excellent, the collars (which seems to always be a problem) are like new and they look as good today as they did when I opened the LLBean box.
I highly recommend these shirts to anyone that hates the weekly dry cleaner run and to cost. I usually wash normally and only dry until they are slightly damp - remove from dryer and hang up - PERFECT every time. I travel with these shirts also and although they do come out of the suitcase wrinkled (my fault not the shirts) if I hang them in the bathroom while I take a shower in the hotel thy come out looking perfect again.
Buying another 2 to keep the color options rotating but it's not like I NEED them. the shirts have held up fantastic. Replaced nearly all the button down oxford shirts in my closet.....add a French Cuff option and I'll get rid of the other few!
