I've depended on these shirts for more than 20 years. In other lines (even at fancy department stores), it's hard to find a full selection of both neck sizes and sleeve lengths. I wear a 16 by 33. "Medium" shirts have sleeves that are too short and "large" are too long.
Clean, traditional style. Comfortable.
These shirts last and last. Very durable fabric. Even after the cuffs get frayed, I roll them up a couple turns and keep wearing them. The colors look new after dozens of washing.
The buttons stay on for years (have never had one fall off). They do indeed come out of the dryer ready to wear with a suit, even after many washings.
Being a middle age guy I had a lot of shirts in my life and I have to say this is one of the best, if not the best, I ever owned! Awesome fit, nice an thick but not stiff or hot. Best of all I don't have to hear my wife complain it's not ironed. :-)
I am happy that LLBean has the sense to understand that a 15.5 inch neck size and a 36 inch sleeve means that the person wearing that is tall and skinny. I am thrilled with all of these shirts! They do not look, they are not made for someone to hide a basketball under the front of the shirt! They wash and dry so well and still look like they were ironed by a professional.
I just received three wrinkle-resistant oxford shirts that I ordered in my standard size, and they are incredibly undersized. There is absolutely no give - I cannot bring my arms back at all without the chest becoming tight and the buttons stressing. And these are 100% cotton, so I shudder to think what would happen after a wash cycle. I have no idea what happened because these shirts used to be so reliable. I am extremely disappointed! I am not fat by any means and have no belly. However, these shirts are sized for someone in their teens or their 20's. These are all going back, and sadly, I'll have to shop locally for something I can try on in person.
