Bought three of these shirts in short sleeve for summer wear in Kentucky. They are well made, and look great, but because the fabric is so thick and heavy I find them very hot to wear during the months when I need a short-sleeve dress shirt, unless I'm indoors in air conditioning all day. They dont seem to breathe as much as other oxford cloth shirts I have worn.
I'm 60, 5'10" 173-lbs. Have been wearing 16 1/2 necks for 30-years. The shirt was nice and fit well except the neck was much too loose. I could put 3-fingers between my neck and the collar. Looks silly, like your big brother's shirt. I'm returning it. I'll probably exchange it for a smaller neck size. But the size choice is a shot in the dark.
If I'd written this review when I first got the shirt, it would have been quite positive- It's comfortable, substantial, and has very good wrinkle resistence. But it didn't last very long before it was worn and hole-y at the cuffs and collar. I had to retire it within a year, and I wore it less than once a week.
I love the material, and I could imagine that the shirt would look good ...on someone else. It's so wide, no matter what you order (neck, sleeves, etc.).. It is VERY wide. My husband usually wears a size medium and this shirt was just too big. I tried to order something smaller and was told to select a different fit.
