Bought this shirt for my husband, he really likes the shirt. He receives many compliments on the look. They are surprised when they are informed it is wrinkle resistant. The fit is perfect for him also, he is tall, 6 foot 3, the shirt is perfect. I let everyone know it is an LL Bean shirt!
This shirt was purchased as a gift. When it arrived I loved the color and the feel of the fabric. The monogram on the pocket just finished the shirt off beautifully.
The shirt washes and drys nicely, too. No complaints here! The typical LL Bean quality I've known and loved for years!
I am tough on clothes and these stand up to anything I can dish out (I once had a dry cleaner ask me to please not bring my shirts back). I am a veterinarian and wear these to work but I can also wear it with a sport coat and tie. These have not stained, wrinkled, or picked - no matter how many dogs and cats I deal with! I have gotten scratched through the shirt hard enough to bleed, but the shirt didn't rip (the weave allowed the claw through but tightened back up in the wash).
They come out of the dryer looking starched and stay that way until the next laundering. The shirts are soft and comfortable, never stiff or scratchy feeling like they are with actual starch.
Wish you had them in boys' sizes for my son. If they can handle my job, these shirts could definitely stand up to boys!
This shirt seems well constructed. I'm a 38R and a 15.5/34 seemed a little big in the middle - kinda blousy - but not hard to get it all tucked in. Overall comfy. After one year of use I finally wore a hole in the right elbow (I write alot at work). I would be more dissapointed but my pinpoint oxfords and gingham shirts from LLBean all blew out after 6mo! Maybe I'm just hard on elbows...
