My 11th Wrkle Resisitant Classic Oxford Purchase!
PostedDecember 19, 2012
The Wrinkle-Resistant Classic Oxfords from LL Bean have become my favorite dress/casual button down.
NOTE: These shirts are NOT lightweight or flimsy. If you live in a warm climate, they may not be to your liking, though I wear them all over the USA. I love the feel and heft of the material. They are not see-thru, as some oxfords are.
I'm 6', 185 and purchased the 16/36 as I like a shirt that is longer in the sleeves and longer in the body that will stay in my pants! These shirts are cut in the body proportioned to the arm length... LOVE that!
They wash up great, very little ironing needed (I dry for 5 minutes, then hang dry), just a touch up (I'm picky though) and are very comfortable while sitting on a plane or in a meeting all day. I own several whites, a blue, a yellow, a red stripe, several green stripe, and a blue stripe. All have been excellent shirts.
Thanks Bean, for a GREAT Oxford!

Huge time saver
PostedDecember 12, 2012
I love these shirts for my husband. They truly do come out of the dryer ready to wear to a professional office environment. We have 2 young kids, who has time to iron? My husband has had a tendency to wear through the elbows on his work shirts, these have holdup longer than comparably priced shirts from other retailers. Would (and do) recommend these. Awesome product, fabulous quality.

Not French Blue, not even close
PostedDecember 7, 2012
This shirt is not even close to French blue. It appears to be a cross between light blue and lavender--a pale, limp ..... color. Definitely not what I wanted. It does appear to be well made and the fabric weight is good. But it also has about 9 inches of extra fabric in the body that's unneeded for anyone who's not significantly overweight . To me that seems excessive. The unexplainable question is why you would say a shirt is French blue when it's not. If the shirt had been the right color, I would have paid someone to remove the extra fabric from the body, given the otherwise good quality and still been satisfied. At present my rate of returns to LLBean is about 60%. Sadly, that's still better than the competitors.

Excellent, mid-weight dress/casual shirt!
PostedDecember 5, 2012
Love these shirts! I own four, with two more on the way. They are not a light weight shirt so if you're looking for tropic weight, this is not it. These shirts are comfortable, wash and dry very well, and are VERY comfortable; especially while sitting on an airplane for 5 hours. Love the feel and texture of the shirts and that they are NOT "see-thru". This shirt dresses up well with a tie, but I usually wear them traveling with jeans and a jacket. Great shirt, great quality!
