Nice crisp shirts but....
PostedMay 7, 2016
I love the way the shirts look, they always look nice and crisp and present a well groomed look.
I do touch them up with the iron though because they really look perfect if I lightly iron them and press the seams smooth. However, since they look so good out of the dryer it only takes a couple minutes to do.
The only complaint I have is that even though my husband is really easy on his clothes, the elbows wear through even though the rest of the shirts still looks great. The price of these has gone up over the years so at the current price that is a disappointment.

Disappointed. Buttons, Material & Company Decline
PostedApril 24, 2016
As others have complained, I found the material not soft and comfortable like I would expect Oxford cloth, even after several washings.
And, where's the second cuff button? Dress shirts traditionally have two buttons on each cuff so they can be chosen for fit to wrist. This version has only one. I have a medium size wrist and this looks like I have a stovepipe cuff.
If it were better quality material I would reset the buttons, but, well, the shirt isn't worth the effort.
I've been proud to wear LLBean's quality products since my parents bought me some for Christmas seventy years ago. Last few years I find myself looking them over but then buying elsewhere. Sad.

Nice shirt but not durable
PostedApril 19, 2016
I have been purchasing LL Bean Dress shirts for many years. In the past couple years the wrinkle free shirts have changed from very nice, durable shirts to nice shirts that fall apart along crease lines long before normal wear spots like collars, cuffs, begin to show wear. I wash these shirts in a front loading washer on permanent press and they last between 1 & 2 years. By contrast, I have a couple older Bean shirts that are more than 10 years old and show no signs of wear. Please bring back the old quality! I'll pay more!

Durability problems? Try This:
PostedApril 13, 2016
A salesman in a high end clothing store told me that all wrinkle free clothing should be washed on your machine's delicate cycle - both washer and dryer. I've followed this advice for a number of years, and my wrinkle free items have lasted and lasted. I hang them as soon as they come out of the dryer and leave them spread out on a shower curtain rod for an hour or so. They look like freshly starched shirts straight from the dry cleaners - perfect!
I like a competitor's khakis, but these LLBean shirts are far superior to anything else I've found. I love the high quality heavy duty feel. Truly the best shirt I've ever purchased. They last forever, and now I won't buy any other oxford shirt.
My only request is to improve the color selection in both stripes and solids.
