I have purchased quite a few of these shirts. My husband wears them for work and I like that they do not need to be ironed, however every single one of them have split along the pressed lines on the arms and on the collars. He only gets about a year of wear out of them before they have to be replaced. I guess it's the price you pay for the no-iron convenience. Plus, I really hate to shop.
We have purchased these Oxford shirts for over 5 years for my husband. He has to wear them daily and sometimes for up to 15 hours a day. We purchased many oxfords prior to from high end men's clothing stores where we would purchase his suits/ties. Especially now that they have the slimfit, life is even better buying with LLBean. We have found after about a year of wearing them small holes have occurred on the collar and fraying has occurred at the seam lines on the arms and at the cuffs. It is obviously from where they have made this to be a faded/distressed look. We have returned at least 5 due to this issue, but LLBean as always has held up to their reputation and sent us a new shirt each time. We still have not found anything to be better for his workdays than these and will continue to purchase them as long as Bean continues to hold up to replacing them under these circumstances, which they always have. Nothing better and boy do I hate ironing.....Love them!
This is a great shirt: it machine washes and drys just fine, though I prefer to send my shirts out to the cleaners. This shirt holds it's shape, is soft even with medium starch. After years of getting Brooks Brothers shirts, I bought a couple of these and they are a far better value and the cuffs are more comfortable. For the price of three Brooks Brothers shirts, you can get 6-7 of these -- like I did.
