I got this shirt for my Grandfather to wear to my wedding. He loved the shirt right out of the bag and will wear it under almost any condition and time of year. He loves that it is very wrinkle resistant and breaths well so he is never too hot. Also had it monogrammed, which looked pretty good.
I wonder if you've noticed, dear Bean that I have not ordered as much as I normally do from you lately. That is because nearly all your shirts, like this one, are nicely put together but are sadly treated with the no-iron solution. This makes your shirts non-permeable (i.e. "breathable") which for summers ( and spring ) where I live is unbearable! What happened? Do you think we all need to look as if we just walked out of the dry cleaner? Hardly traditional. You should offer all your shirts without this treatment and you'd see the huge number of customers--look online!--who are grumbling and disillusioned with this ( among other) changes. Wearing this is like wearing a plastic bag. Sorry.
I like the color, but the fabric on this shirt is far thicker and stiffer than the fabric on any other non-iron shirt I own. It may be 100% cotton, but it doesn't look like an old-fashioned cotton button down. Reminds me of inexpensive wash & wear polyester blend shirts. Was hoping that multiple washings would help, but this is one thick, tough shirt. I know that non-iron cotton can look better than this.
