My son and husband have been wearing these shirts for several years. Both love the shirts. However, the change in the monogram lettering choices no longer appeal to them. My son says they are on the feminine side. I agree I don't like the choices as well but the shirts are wonderful !
Excellent overall: material truely wrinkle resistant and shirt is very well-made. On sale it is a very good buy. However, these shirts tend to be baggy around the waist (I'm 160lb, 5'9" 151/2" neck, 33" sleeve). Trim fit is better for my built but selection is very limited.
Wrinkle resistant is a nice innovation, but in these (nicely made) shirts you look and feel like you're wearing polyester because it's sooo smooth. Too bad the original soft wrinkly cotton seems to be banned at Beans.
I've own several of the LL Bean wrinkle-resistant oxford shirts and all of them have worn out much quicker than standard (not treated with whatever they do to prevent wrinkles) LL Bean shirts. Right now, I have two that are less than one year old and have worn out at the collar. I have two other Bean wrinkle-resistant shirts that have also worn out prematurely - one at the elbow and another at the waistline. My recommendation is to get a standard shirt and iron them. These are not long-wearing garments and are not up to LL Bean standards.
