I am 6'5" and weigh 195 lbs and have an athletic build. I ordered this shirt in 18X37. When I tried it on there was enough fabric for two shirts. There must be an assumption that if you're tall you're also heavy. Not true for many people. I will not wear this shirt and fight with all of the fabric that I would have to tuck into my pants.
This is a great shirt. It is very durable and looks as good after 20 washes as it did new.
It is great that it is available in the fill gamut of neck and sleeve sizing and not the ill-fitting s,m,L,XL
It is too bad that LLBean doesn't have more of a variety long sleeve button down shirts in neck and sleeve sizing. For me 'large' shirts come as close as available to my true size 16.5x34 but since the sleeves generally come up short I never buy them. I would be a customer if they had a shirt of the month available in sizing- especially if they had bold fabric designs like black watch or stewart plaid (and not just the typical solid colors or checks suitable for neckties). Also, why not make it easy to search the site for shirts available in true sizing. It is tedious to check each shirt just to find out it is available only in s,M,L,XL - which I won't consider buying because of the bad fit.
Love LL Bean's wrinkle resistant Oxford cloth shirts. They are very high quality, heavy material and truly require little ironing if any. They look great. Great for travel. I JUST WISH LL BEAN OFFERED THEM IN MORE COLORS!!!! (Are you listening LL BEAN???!)
