As a frequent (near-constant) traveler, I look for clothes that hold up well. My expectation is that shirts and slacks will come out of my roll-aboard looking like they were just pulled out of my closet at home. LL Bean Classic Oxford Cloth shirts hold up much better than many that I have purchased for more than twice the price - which is why I have more of these than any other shirts. You can feel that the fabric is much sturdier than typical mass-market shirts, and this fabric holds its shape and drape. The shirt looks good, and so will you when you wear it.
I own one of these shirts in every color...after trying this type shirt from other manufacturers, I can tell you that this is the best! I have some shirts that I have not ironed for years, and they look just as good and crisp as the day I purchased them. A good mid-heavy weight material that lasts and lasts. You will not be disappointed!
Just received this shirt last night for my birthday and I'm so impressed with the color, fabric, construction, etc. Can't wait to put this on for work Monday.
The classic oxford cloth shirt (long sleeve) has the best bang for your buck. I have worn shirts to work that are made by other companies, but none can compare to the shirts that I have purchased from L.L. Bean. They keep there color after many washing and never fray. They are very easy to maintain by simply ironing them. The creases in the sleeves remain intact effortlessly. I own about 14 of these types of shirts and wear them daily, year round. The life span is about 2 years for work purposes, then I'll get another year out of them for more casual activities. I give my highest recommendation to anyone in search of a quality, beautiful and durable shirt.
