I have bought long and short sleeve shirts in the "wrinkle resistant" category. The appropriate name should be sandpaper. If you like "scratchy" shirts, then this shirt is for you. I will LL Bean would bring back the 100% cotton shirts. I have been buying my shirts from LL Bean for almost 30 years, but sadly, all they offer now is wrinkle resistant versions. They are very uncomfortable.
This is by far the best Oxford shirt I have ever owned. Heavy material. Pleated cuffs. Can't see through these threads! Have several in different colors and all are excellent. Taken out of the dryer, they can be worn without ironing! Spray starch them and let them hang overnight. Iron when starch is dry and they look like laundered shirts. Can't tell the difference. Unbeatable shirt!
this shirt is definitely wrinkle proof but it is a heavy coarse weave in my opinion. it also lacks a 7th button and is a little snug in the shoulder and arm openings. bought two, thought about returning them but will see if additional washing softens them up a bit. serviceable shirt but not up to bean quality.
These shirts are incredible quality for the price. I had on one of these shirts when my sister in law dropped by. She asked me who ironed my shirts. She was amazed to learn that I had just taken the shirt out of the dryer a couple of hours before. If you like oxford cloth shirts, this is the one to buy. I have 7.
