I wore your 60/40 blend for 20 years and it was a great shirt at a great price from a great company. My only complaint was the short collars. That shirt was discontinued by your "no iron" model which has numerous problems: A.one developed a hole in front.B.all are too hot for our southern summers.C. the "no iron" treatment washes out after 6 months or so leaving a regular 100% cotton shirt.(This must be a universal problem since Land's End advertises that their's "lasts 50 washes").D.worst of all the stated sleeve lengths are wrong and your nice order person in fact told me that my normal 34" size should be ordered in a 33" to fit !! I will no longer buy this shirt until you go back to what you had.
My husband loves Oxford cloth shirts. Most are too much work to iron. Not these! They are virtually wrinkle free. I touch up with an iron - but only because I'm a perfectionist! They really don't need it. You can get the exact sleeve length you need. This shirt is not too fitted, which DH appreciates. This is a sturdy material. It may be a bit heavy for summer in a hot climate (not a problem for DH due to air-conditioned office). Note: the shirt has a button-down collar. We have bought 2 of these and will surely buy more. Great color choices, too!
I have owned these shirts for years, in both the solid and stripe varieties. I love the way they hold up despite heavy use and repeated washings. The crisp appearance of this well-made shirt has not diminished over time. While other brand shirts I've owned showed signs of wear around the collar and cuffs after just a few months of use, my L.L. Bean Classic Oxfords out-performed 'the competition' by a country mile. I have never owned a more durable, better constructed dress shirt than my Wrinkle-Resistant Classic Oxfords and they look just as good with jeans as with business suits. So, if material quality, affordability and minimal 'upkeep' are important factors in your purchasing decision, you just cannot go wrong with this product. I highly recommend it!
