This shirt has the most substantial cloth and the best wrinkle-resistant finish of any oxford cloth shirt on the market, at any price. However, the big drawback is that the collar points are far too short; it does not look like a classic buttondown collar. If you're going to wear it with the top button open, without a tie, it looks fine, BUT if you plan to wear it with a tie, be advised that it won't give you the classic look of buttondown collars.
I am 52 y/o and have long arms so for years had to buy shirts at 3 times this shirts price (we dont have the size range provided by Bean). I tipped my toe in the water by getting a couple and was so pleased (so is the wife who doesnt have to iron anymore - take them out of the dryer and hang them up straightaway is a bit of a hint) and have since ordered several more. I saw an adverse comment re stain resistance and i have to disagree. One night my friend knocked a full glass of red wine ALL over it and it came out no probs even though the incident occurred at the start of the evening so it dried on before being put in the tub for a soak in water. Great weight shirt and so great wearing shirt.
In short, these shirts are great value for money and am ordering some more right now for postage to me in Australia.
LL Bean makes the best wrinkle-resistant classic oxford shirt. It is professional looking, has great quality and there is no need to iron this shirt. It is also very affordable. I have always trusted LL Bean to provide excellent shirts and other items.
